HDFC Asset Management Company Ltd (AMC) was formed on December 10, 1999. It was later sanctioned the status of Approved Asset Management Company for HDFC Mutual Fund on June 30, 2000 as trust, with Sponsors  or Settlors being Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited and Standard Life Investments Limited and the Trustee as HDFC Trustee Company Limited. The paid up capital of the AMC is Rs. 25.241 crore as on September 30, 2014.

2. Liquid Funds

HDFC liquid funds are intended with the objective to generate the best possible returns while maintaining lower risk and high liquidity. Liquid Mutual funds are best suited for investors with lower capital exposure and moderate risk appetite.

3. Debt/ Income Fund

HDFC Debt or Income mutual fund schemes are focused on generating credit risk-free returns through diversified investments in various sovereign securities issued by the Central Government and/or State Government. The debt/income fund generate regular flow of income to the investors with lower risk appetite and capital exposure.

4. Fixed Maturity Plan
